How my symptoms showed up
POTS: heart rate felt jumpy rather than low, with that uncomfortable internal buzz you get when you’re under-fueled but overstimulated
Migraine: faint nausea and smell sensitivity, no head pain yet but a clear warning phase
Lupus: not pain-heavy, but that washed-out fatigue where everything feels harder than it should
Disorder safety check
Condition | Verdict | Notes |
POTS | Helpful | Salt + hydration without heaviness |
Lupus | Safe | Light, non-inflammatory |
Vestibular migraine | Cautious but okay | Mint and melon tolerated pre-pain |
Ingredients (1 serving)
Ripe melon (cantaloupe or similar), sliced into wedges
Thinly sliced prosciutto
Fresh mint leaves
Optional: olive oil or black pepper
How I made it
Prep the melon
Slice melon into firm wedges, removing seeds and rind. Keep chilled until assembling.
Wrap
Gently wrap each wedge with prosciutto, not too tightly - it should drape, not constrict.
Add mint
Tuck a few fresh mint leaves between the melon and prosciutto so the aroma stays subtle.
Finish
Arrange on a plate. Add a light drizzle of olive oil or a crack of black pepper if tolerated.
