POTS: soft dizziness when standing, not dramatic but persistent, the kind that comes with low blood volume rather than exertion
Migraine: no pain, but a dull pressure behind my eyes and sensitivity to effort, usually a sign I need quick, reliable carbs
Lupus: low-grade fatigue with heaviness in my hands, no inflammation, just slowed recovery
Disorder safety check
Condition | Verdict | Notes |
POTS | Helpful | Carbs raised energy quickly |
Lupus | Safe | No inflammatory triggers |
Vestibular migraine | Safe in small amount | Sugar tolerated without spike |
Ingredients (1 serving)
Slice of banana bread
Butter, softened
Honey
Optional: flaky salt
How I made it
Warm the bread (optional)
Lightly toast or warm the banana bread so it’s just heated through, not crisp.
Make honey butter
Mix softened butter with a small drizzle of honey until smooth.
Assemble
Spread honey butter generously over the bread. Drizzle additional honey lightly on top.
Finish
Add a pinch of flaky salt if needed to balance sweetness.
